Bloggers maintain blogs for various reasons and many blogs have a lot of search engine and human traffic. If you can find quality blogs relevant to your blog or business and post a interesting and constructive blog comment on them, you will get search engine spiders to your website and also increase traffics to your site.

When you leave blog comments on the articles and stories you read, you are normally asked to provide your name, URL, email address and comment itself. When your comment is posted and the link to your website, it creates an effective, natural and free quality backlinks to your website. At the same time, when there are more backlinks to your website, it is presented to search engines your site is reputable and important and gains a higher position in search results. If you are linking from a high pagerank site, the PR weight will pass to your site and increase the pagerank of your webpage/ website.

Google announced in early 2005 that hyperlinks with rel="nofollow" attribute would not influence the link target's PageRank. In addition, the Yahoo and MSN search engines also respect this tag.

How the attribute is being interpreted differs between the search engines. While some take it literally and do not follow the link to the page being linked to, others still "follow" the link to find new web pages for indexing. In the latter case rel="nofollow" actually tells a search engine "Don't score this link" rather than "Don't follow this link."

This differs from the meaning of nofollow as used within a robots meta tag, which does tell a search engine: "Do not follow any of the hyperlinks in the body of this document.".

[DoFollow]

DoFollow blogs do the exactly opposite of NoFollow. Blogs with DoFollow allows any hyperlinks in the website content itself be followed through by the search engine spider. In other words, if you leave a comment and your URL at a high PR dofollow site, your link will be recognized by web spider and the PR will be passed to your website.
